What is an I-94 Form?

I-94 Form is a document that is issued by the United States Customs and Border Protection officer at the moment of the port of entry. During the time of arrival or departure, the CBP office updates your date and time of arrival and departments. This I-94 arrival form is simple like your travel history. At the time of your arrival to the United States, CBP officers check your Passport and your purpose of visit to the United States. Once he/she confirms and satisfied with your answers to his questions, then he/she will allow you to enter the United States. This is like a border check.

If the officer is not convinced with your answers, then he/she won’t allow you into the US. Also, at the time of arrival, the CBP officer will update your date of departure. You need to leave the United States on before the date mentioned in the I-94 Form. Earlier before April 2013, the I-94 Form is updated in offline and later on it is updated by online. With online process, the I-94 process is updated immediately, and there is no need to carry paper I-94 Form unlike before.

  • Go to I-94 Official Website
  • In the Menu Bar, you can see ‘Get Most Recent I-94’. Tap on it.
  • A pop-up page will appear showing ‘Security Notification.’ Read it and Select ‘Continue’ if you are Ok with the Agreement.
  • Once you selected ‘Continue,’ you will be redirected to a new page.
  • In this page, you will be asked to Enter Your Info like your first and last name, Date of Birth, Passport Country of Issuance, Passport Number.
  • All the Columns are Mandatory to fill. Once finish select Next.
  • Now you can see your Most Recent I-94 Form. Select Print to print the form.

How to view your Travel History to the United States?

You can view your Travel History for the past five years only. So it is better to have a print out copy of your Travel History and save it for future.

  • Go to I-94 Official Website
  • In the Menu Bar, you can see ‘View Travel History.’ Tap on it.
  • A pop-up page will appear showing ‘Security Notification.’ Read it and Select ‘Continue’ if you are Ok with the Agreement.
  • Once you selected ‘Continue,’ you will be redirected to a new page.
  • In this page, you will be asked to Enter Your Info like your first and last name, Date of Birth, Passport Country of Issuance, Passport Number.

  • Now you can see your Travel History to the United States during the past five years. Select Print to print the Travel History.
